AREAS OF OPERATION:

I am established over 25 years in the business and as a lot of other people my way to present position was not very straight forward.

I originally studied mechanical engineering and after the end of my studies did anything else but my subject. I also qualified as a teacher and taught for a while. Then I worked in a theatre in lights and sound and also as an electrician for a gambling machine company.

Eventually like everyone I bought a house and found it near impossible to find a tradesman or two to work for me. So I embarked to rebuild a large Victorian house from 1870’s on my own. I had some help from my neighbour who happened to be a plumber. The house had any and every restoration problem any architectural and building instruction book could dream up. But eventually after a lot of effort I won and turned the house into a desirable Victorian residence. Gradually people including my neighbour started giving me jobs and before I knew it I had a change of career on my hands. I studied a bit more and acquired various plumbing, heating and electrical qualifications. Before I knew it I was doing very complicated and difficult jobs other people did not want to take on.

I built a few “designer” bathrooms, kitchens, central heating systems, and have been known to organise/coordinate extension or two.

Main areas of work:

Plumbing/Heating: installing high efficiency “condensing boilers” and “unvented” hot water systems since 1987. Also traditional boilers and cylinders with storage tanks both gas and oil fired. Repairing and servicing boilers including pressure jet burners (ie: small commercial). Designing efficient and good looking central heating systems with Zehnder, Arbonia, and other “designer” radiators. Even building a combined solar and gas heating system.

Installing and Repairing: Water, waste and gas plumbing.
Complete complicated bathrooms with mood lighting, radio massaging showers with pumps, steam generators, heated mirrors and impossible to work with porcelain tiles. As you can see from the pictures in our gallery we prefer to work with friendly marble and other more natural materials. Also traditional bathrooms can be arranged.

Kitchens: from traditional with stone or wood, to modern with corrian or stainless steel work surfaces with all the mod cons (dishwashers, washing machines, water softeners, various hobs, ovens, cookers and fridges, both gas and electric.

Eccentric extensions or loft conversions: Occasionally
